Post retirement, as Chief Technical Field Advisor for Siemens Energy, he''s been instrumental in the success of major projects like the IN 1093 Bhusawal in Maharashtra and Patratu in Jharkhand.
During his tenure in Siemens Energy as a chief field adviser/Chief commissioning Manager, he acquired a vast experience working on small and large gas turbines and steam turbines involving erection and commissioning of the same in Indian and as well as international sites as at Maitri, Bibiyana and Srirajganj in Bangladesh, Garri in Sudan, Dangjin in South Korea, and sites in Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.
His job on sites also included site schedule and manpower planning, interface between customer and back office, daily reporting of updated status to back office in Germany, supply of materials as and when required.
Adding to his proficiency, he also has a vast experience of working in BPA and ICP Platform of ONGC IN BOMBAY HIGH for the retrofit job. Through his enterprise, Uday Shankar & Associates, Shankar plays a pivotal role as a Siemens supplier, facilitating project recruitment and material supply, consolidating his importance in the Siemens community.
